NDIS Quarterly Report

The next NDIS Quarterly Report is out. We are into the 6th year of the NDIS and as the article below comments it doesn't at all feel like it has been that long.

1) Employment is likely to be a big thing in the next 12 months 2) The new pathways are going to be rolled out - though we do not know what they will look like. The pathways will include the general NDIS population and participants with either complex support needs or psychosocial needs. 3)Independent Assessment Pilot. The idea of this assessment is to have an NDIS selected assessor come to the participant and conduct a functional assessment for individuals. This would then help to inform the next few years of AT and supports for participants. At this stage we don't know what the assessment looks like and how it is actually being conducted but if it works this could be a fantastic move forward for people using Level 3 and 4 AT.

One other big thing to take from the Report and the article is the NDIS is still running under budget. This means that the fear of loosing money because the NDIS budget as a whole has been slashed is not correct. The government taking money for the farmers doesn't effect the NDIS and how it is running.

The Actual report can be found here, and there is a link to an accessible version included. https://www.ndis.gov.au/abou…/publications/quarterly-reports
